Alvaston Inter Schools Tournament

Field Lane Football Club hosted our 1st Schools Inter School Tournament on Thursday 25th June 2009, We hope this event will become an annual event, with expanding the number of schools per year. We hope all the schools which took part in the event, had a great time and enjoyed the afternoon.

Tournament Aim:

To provide a safe and fun environment for Year 4 & 5 pupils from four Alvaston Schools to enjoy the sport of football.

Tournament Overview:

Four Schools from the Alvaston area will bring a squad of up to 16 children; the squad will be made up of boys & girls of all abilities from Years 4 & 5.

The tournament is a non-competitive event, however there is a shield for the winner and all players will be presented with medals.

The games will be 9-a-side, one goalkeeper and eight outfield players

Each school will play three 20 minute games.

Roll On/ Roll Off substitutes will ensure every child has an opportunity to play in each game

To support teachers/ Parents, each team will be allocated a Field Lane liaison officer for the event; all Field Lane Officials have undertaken CRB checks and be qualified FA Level 1 Coaches. Liaison officers will be on hand to assist with initial team warm up & general assistance throughout the event.
