Welcome To Field Lane Football Club

Field Lane Football Club are a non-profit making organisation, run by volunteers, for the benefit of young children and young adults, who wish to pursue the sport of competitive football. The club was founded in 1982 by a group of local parents, who recognised the need to organise sporting activities for children in the Field Lane area.

Over a number of years the club has grown considerately, from just two teams, we now have over 25 teams playing in the Derby Mini Soccer League, Burton Junior Football League, Derbyshire Girls and Ladies League and Derby City League. We have boys teams from ages 6 to 18 plus two senior teams. We also have U8, U9, U10, U14 & U16 Girls Teams.

In 2007 We were awarded Charter Standard Status, In 2009 We were Awarded Charter Standard Development Club Status,and In June 2010 we were awarded Charter Standard Community Club, this is the highest Award and is a fantastic achievement for the club, it has taken a lot of support and effort to achieve this.

As a Charter Standard Club, all our volunteers are CRB checked and attended Safeguarding Children and First Aid Courses. All Coaches are required to complete FA Level 1 coaching in football and other relevant courses. All are reviewed every 3 years.

We hold an annual tournament each year which attracts around 200 teams from around the midlands. This is a great way to end the season, anyone interested in entering please visit the tournament page. Our first tournament was held in the early 1990's and has grown stronger ever since.
