Welcome To Field Lane Football Club

Field Lane Football Club are a non-profit making organisation, run by volunteers, for the benefit of young children and young adults, who wish to pursue the sport of competitive football. The club was founded in 1982 by a group of local parents, who recognised the need to organise sporting activities for children in the Field Lane area.

Over a number of years the club has grown considerately, from just two teams, we now have over 15 teams playing in the Derby Mini Soccer League and Derby City League. We have teams from ages 7 to 18 plus two senior teams in the Derby City League.

Field Lane Football Club is managed by a committee composed of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer together with at least one member representing each of the teams within the club. The committee meets every month and at such other times as the chairman in consultation with the secretary may deem necessary. All committee members are elected at the Annual General meeting held in May of each year. At the AGM a Sub committee is formed consisting of three members from the elected committee. The Sub committee will deal with any events that bring the club into disrepute and shall have power to deal with the matter, as it deems fit.

In 2008 we were awarded FA Charter Standard Status. We a currently working towards FA Charter Standard Development Club.

As a Charter Standard Club All Managers are CRB Checked, Have to complete FA level 1 Coaching, First Aid and Child Protection Courses.
